Wage Subsidy Program
The WorkBC Richmond Wage Subsidy program covers a part of employee wages so employers can have financial incentives to hire eligible job seekers and provide work experience. This program is available at no cost to employers or job seekers.
Program Duration:
Most wage subsidies last for up to 24 weeks. 
Rates:
Final 8 weeks: 15% subsidy (up to $150 weekly)

Second 8 weeks: 25% subsidy (up to $250 weekly)

First 8 weeks: 50% subsidy (up to $500 weekly)

For general clients

Third 8 weeks: 25% subsidy (up to $250 weekly)

For priority clients

The priority clients category includes Youth (aged 16-30) and individuals with disabilities (either Person with disabilities (PWD) designation through the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction or who have had a disability confirmed through WorkBC Richmond.
Eligibility:
All clients of WorkBC Richmond are eligible, including self-serve clients.

A: A self-serve client would conduct job search independently without helps from the Employment Counsellor.
